Sunday in YYC: Commonwealth Collector's Club

Last Sunday I took a trip down to the Commwealth Collector's Club here in Calgary. This event is held one Sunday afternoon every month, featuring the awesome laid-back vibes of Commonwealth Bar and Stage, mixed with a pop-up market of independent local artists and retailers. There's a little bit of everything - some art, some handmade jewelry, some knit textiles, some cool vintage finds, and best of all some local small menswear brands. For only three bucks entry, you can enjoy some great tunes, talk to some cool local talent, get to meet some of the awesome staff at Commonwealth, and grab a beer (or one of their fantastic Mimosas) while you browse.

I met up with one of my usual partners in crime, famed Commonwealth bartender Ben Painter (contributor page coming soon), and after picking out some of my favorite new Spring pieces from the great guys at 6Streets and Camp Brand Goods, Ben took me out back to his secret photo spot to take some pics of the new pieces in their natural habitat. Hover over the images for more info on the pieces.
