Still on holiday today, so I took the opportunity to have a bit more fun with colours and patterns in my layering for one of Calgary's classic spring snowfalls. Pin-dot is one of my favorite shirt patterns and it create an especially stark contrast against a dark colour like burgundy here. The pin-dot pattern also works well under the quilted pattern jacket. The main key to keeping everything subtle and sophisticated here is keeping the louder pieces underneath your basic staple black jacket, so you can offer just a little tease at the collar and the tails of your base layers. My suggestion is to leave everything untucked and keep at least 2 jacket buttons undone.
