After my hiatus to make it out of first year grad school in one piece, I am finally back and ready to celebrate the only way I know how: with bringing you this season's colour trend preview. Once upon a time, the unwritten law of the land was that your warm weather wardrobe for the summer months was to consist entirely of primary colours, pastels, or any Pantone that isn't between numbers 400 and 500. That time is now passed, evidenced by this season's hottest (proverbially) elected colours being largely neutral shades of green, grey, and brown.
That's right, the tonal palettes that have proliferated fall and winter fashion of late have also crept into summer wear. We're seeing brown suits becoming more mainstream, greyscale dressing evolving out of its small streetwear circles, and recent sneaker collabs moving towards subtlety (Reigning Champ x Asics GLIII, Jordan 10 Retro NYC, and the Tubular Doom all being examples). As for what to do with it, check out Travis and Luke here showing you examples of how to do a single-tone brown outfit or a multi-tone grey and green 'fit to blend in with the urban jungle this summer:
